Marwood collaborated with Cherchbi at the end of last year to produce a set of luxury travel companions.
A proper collaboration. The Marwood x Cherchbi three-piece collection draws on the essence and unique skills of both brands; our iconic cloths (Herdwyck wool tweed and Marwood staircase silk) and a shared passion for traditional English making techniques. The result is luxurious yet robust set comprising travel case, tie and bow tie.
Originally inspired by 1920′s collar cases the travel case is a dual-use travelling companion. We understand a tie should be kept rolled to keep its shape, the travel case will hold six alongside bow ties too. The case doubles as a wash kit; usefully, the silk lining is waterproof. It is trimmed with English saddle leather and a solid brass Riri zip. Cleverly, the end panels are shaped to hold contents secure and the zip collar extends to become a carry handle.
The tie and bow tie beautifully combine our signature tweed and silk. The monochromatic colouring is offset by wonderfully rich textures; a versatile combination to compliment many outfit types.
Each item can be bought separately or together as a specially priced three-piece set. All styles are available in Herdwick grey tweed, the travel case is trimmed with black leather and solid brass hardware.
Using the Cherchbi herdwick tweed, we made a wonderfully English tie and bow tie with the signature Marwood staircase tipping. Cherchbi then designed and produced a new travel kit bag, designed to be practical for a multitude of tasks but with the primary job of storing your ties and bow ties safely for travel. We encourage a rolled tie to keep its shape for longer.
